Equilibrium positions of orbiting gyrostats
Abstract
The problem of determining the classes of equilibria for a satellite containing symmetric rotors in a circular orbit is considered, summarizing contributions of several authors. Only the restricted problem of orbiting gyrostats subject to gravitational torques and a constant relative angular momentum of the rotors is considered.
