Equipment for studying electrical breakdown processes
Abstract
Review of the characteristics of certain types of recorders which can be used in experiments on the physics of electrical breakdowns. A number of electron-optical light-beam recorders are described, including a recorder with optically independent converters, one with a converter which has deflecting plates, and one with two amplification stages. In addition, an electron-optical brightness amplifier, an automatic scanner for introducing recorded data into a computer, and an arrangement for high-speed recording of one-dimensional brightness distributions are also described.
