Spectrophotometry of outbursts in AE AQR - Preliminary results
Abstract
The spectroscopic observations reported were obtained with the aid of a technique devised by Walker (1965, 1966) for the observations of rapid variables. A time resolution in the range from 30 to 60 seconds for the photoelectric observations is estimated. Approaches used for the determination of temperature and density are discussed. The results of the investigation show that electrography can be successfully used to overcome the difficulties in the determination of the physical parameters in the case of outbursts in rapid variables.
