French participation in the program EXAMETNET which is in its operational phase
Abstract
The Experimental Inter-American Meteorological Rocket Network (EXAMETNET) is concerned with the exploration of the stratosphere with the aid of sounding rockets. The nations participating as members in the program include the U.S., Argentina, Brazil, and France. The studies of the program include measurements of temperature and wind in the altitude range from 20 to 80 km. A description is given of the French system employed for the EXAMETNET studies and operational questions are discussed.
