Attitude stability of spinning non rigid spacecraft
Abstract
Necessary as well as sufficient stability criteria for spinning nonrigid spacecraft containing an unrestricted number of flexible booms in optional directions are given. The effect of liquid sloshing on stability is included. For certain boom types of particular practical interest the stability conditions are given in analytic form. The results are evaluated for the European satellite GEOS.
