On the instrumental system of coordinates in meridian astrometry.
Abstract
In meridional astronomy, the instrumental system of coordinates is understood to mean the coordinate system of a star catalog composed on the basis of observations processed with allowance for all types of systematic error (observation, instrumental, and refraction errors). The problem of constructing an instrumental system of coordinates is discussed, showing that the system depends not only on the precision of the instrument employed, but also on the observer, the local conditions, and the method used to process observations.
