Experimental investigation of local heat transfer from a plate with a transient boundary layer
Abstract
Heat flux probes were used in an experimental study of local heat transfer from a water-cooled plate with a smooth inlet edge at two levels of air-flow turbulence. It is shown that heat transfer in the transition zone is best calculated on the basis of an interpolation line which, in the logarithmic coordinate system, passes through transition points.
