Advances in power system dynamics and control
Abstract
Power system dynamics and control are reviewed from practical and physical points of view defining such concepts as: stability, security, and reliability. Basic models for power system dynamics are discussed and their various off-line and on-line applications are evaluated. A summary is given of planning and design concepts for improved transient and dynamic control of power system and emerging dynamic problems in electric power system operation and their solutions are reviewed.
