Abstract
As part of a comprehensive library of cryogenic technology, this volume presents technical knowledge of current interest in the fields of liquid natural gas systems, liquid and gaseous helium utilization, and miscellaneous implementations of cryogenics. Some of the topics discussed are: factors affecting LNG storage tank sizing for marine terminals, energy utilization and safety aspects of shipboard cryogenics, technical aspects of ambient vaporizers and superheaters, extraction of helium from the atmosphere, helium usage in large, high temperature-gas cooled reactors, liquid hydrogen as an automotive fuel, the application of aerospace technology in the cryogenics field, and a leak-free mechanical tube joint. Individual items are announced in this issue.
