Excitation of a dielectric resonant cavity by a uniformly moving charge
Abstract
The excitation of a cylindrical resonant cavity employing a dielectric as the working medium and situated in a plane waveguide with ideally conducting walls is examined. It is assumed that the point charge moves uniformly across the waveguide. The radiation spectrum and energy are determined. The expression for the energy is analyzed as a function of the frequency.
