Determination of Q for a two-dimensional system with periodic parameters
Abstract
An analysis is made which is applicable to gyroscopic systems which use alternating-current signals to control the angular position of the gyroscope at its rotation frequency. An expression is found for the maximum system Q when the amplifier-frequency converter loop consists of components which operate at a frequency different from the actuator control frequency. The Q is higher in a system with modulation and frequency conversion than in one without frequency conversion.
