Investigation of fluctuations in the noise-storm background by spectral-correlation analysis
Abstract
Results are presented for a spectral-correlation analysis of data for three sources of noise storms at 208 MHz. The power spectra of the storms indicate the existence of quasi-periodic components with average periods of 5.7, 7.4, 12.1, 13.7, 16.8, and 25.9 min. Evidence is also found for a long-period component with a duration of about 60 min.
