High power double discharge TEA CO2 laser
Abstract
The characteristics of a high-power double-discharge TEA CO2 laser are described. The laser output energy is more than 30 J and the laser peak power is more than 0.3 GW. The gain coefficient measured at the center of the discharge is 4 to 4.5% per cm. The effect of adding xylene on the uniformity of the discharge and the laser peak power is also reported. In addition, the reflectivity of the laser light coming from the produced plasma was measured.
