Modern techniques optimize displacement gyros
Abstract
This paper describes the application of selected design techniques and modern technical developments to optimize performance, reliability, and system configuration of two-degree-of-freedom ball bearing/gimbaled displacement gyros. Examples of specific new concepts introduced into a modern third-generation hardware family are presented along with the scientific data processing techniques which were used to optimize the design.
