Modulation of He-Ne laser radiation by striations
Abstract
The effect of interacting striations in a two-anode discharge tube on the modulation of laser radiation was studied. The lowest modulation of He-Ne laser radiation is caused by synchronized striations with a phase shift of 180 degrees. Modulation up to 5-10% is found outside the synchronization band. Greater modulation (up to 15%) is caused by the appearance of striations in the cathode branch.
