New developments in microwave devices and technology. I - Microwave integrated circuits. II - Active devices and functional M/C modules
Abstract
The basic approaches in the design of microwave integrated circuits are examined, taking into account passive and active elements. Transmission lines suitable for microwave integrated circuits are discussed along with manufacturing techniques, semiconducting substrates, ferrimagnetic substrates, lumped elements for microwave integrated circuits, passive functional modules, hybrid transformers and couplers, resonators and filters, circulators and isolators, and phase shifters. Attention is also given to transferred electron devices, avalanche diodes, barrier injection transit time diodes, and the technology of monolithic integrated circuits.
