Data processing in the Aeros satellite
Abstract
Review of the design and performance of the data processing system operating on board the Aeros A and B upper (230- to 800-km) atmosphere exploration satellites. The system's functions include: (1) the spin synchronous control for the telemetry data processing and transmission and for the measurement phases of experiments; (2) acting as a buffer for the abundant data gathered during the spin synchronous measurement phases; and (3) providing the means for resetting the performance time and duration of commands pertaining to the operation of the attitude control and propulsion systems.
