On calculating the time of radio signal propagations.
Abstract
Accurate corrections for the propagation delay of radio time signals are necessary for ground processing of astrometric observations made by earth satellites. The equations for making these corrections are given. The delay times are calculated for short waves (10-200 m wavelength) with stations separated by 100-40,000 km and for long waves (3000 m and longer) with stations separated by 6470, 20,000, and 40,000 km. The values are accurate to within 0.3-0.5 msec.
