Circumstellar dust emission from WC9 stars.
Abstract
New 2.3- to 23- measurements of WC9 stars are presented. Three of four WC9 stars appear to be embedded in thick circumstellar dust shells. Graphite is a likely major constituent of these shells. The WC9 stars may form a distinct Wolf-Rayet class, since circumstellar dust emission is not observed from other WN and WC stars. Subject headings: circumstellar shells - infrared - Wolf-Rayet stars
