Investigation of pulsating variables. III. Monochromatic light gradients of cepheids.
Abstract
The monochromatic brightness gradients of two classical cepheids (eta Agl, and delta Cep) and two variable stars (RR Lyr, and SUDra) are calculated from observations of the monochromatic stellar magnitudes. It is shown that monochromatic brightness gradients can be used to study the relative amplitudes of radius variation at various levels of the stellar atmosphere.
