Families of symmetric periodic orbits of the restricted three body problem, when the perturbing mass is small. II.
Abstract
Summary. This paper completes the work of an earlier article (Guillaume, 1969) concerning the symmetric periodic solutions of the restricted problem for small values of the mass ratio of P1 and P2 - I. The symmetry equations are expanded to first order for the case of the symmetric periodic solutions of the second kind, and are shown to be valid even if the basic solutions (relative to the case ij =0) collide with P1 - 2. The equations of the S.P. characteristics of the first and second kinds are obtained in global finite form. Key words: restricted three body problem analytical continuation symmetry equations Poincare's first and second kinds.
