Distribution of single-particle strengths in the nuclei 207Tl, 207Pb, 209Bi and 209Pb
Abstract
Within the theory of finite Fermi systems we calculate the distribution of single-particle strengths in the odd mass nuclei surrounding 208Pb. The Dyson equation with an energy dependent mass operator is solved and the resulting single-particle propagator is analysed. It turns out that the concept of quasiparticles used in this theory is very well justified for nearly all the states in the first and the second shells below and above the Fermi surface.
