Radar Observations of the Rings of Saturn
Abstract
Radar echos at 12.6 cm show that the particles of the rings of Saturn are very efficient radar reflectors. It follows that the particles are likely to be rough, with diameters on the order of a meter or larger. The data indicates that some of the reflecting objects may lie beyond the visible rings.
