Superconducting Critical Field in Cold Magnetic White Dwarfs and in Neutron Stars
Abstract
For an evaluation of the superconducting critical fieldH c as a function of the mass-density in the external layers of cold magnetic white dwarfs and in the superconducting proton fluid in neutron stars, we use the solution of a differential equation involvingH c as a function of the pressure. The differential equation and its solution are obtained by pure thermodynamic way. Finally other thermodynamic quantities are calculated for the above superconducting astrophysical systems.
