Vortex-Wave Scattering by a Spherical Impurity

The probabilities of reflection and transmission of vortex waves by a spherical impurity are derived in the long-wavelength limit. The results are exactly the same as those for a cylindrical impurity, showing that the shape of a trapped ion by a vortex does not affect the mobility calculation given previously.
