Wolf-Rayet Stars.IV. Line Intensities in the Spectra of Two WN6 Stars
Abstract
Coud spectrograms and photoelectric scanning have been used to obtain intensities of emission lines in the spectra of two WN6 stars, HD 192163 and HD 191765, and thus provide data for the theoretical analysis of the atmospheres by Castor and Van Blerkom. A comparison is made with the measurements of HD 191763 by Underhill. It is clear that the profiles of the emission lines are intrinsically variable. Reddening corrections are reevaluated. It is concluded that the continuum colors of W-R stars are approximately 0.16 mag redder in (B - V) than main-sequence 0 and B stars with the same (U - B).
