Infinite-Component Field Model of the Local Vector and Axial-Vector Current Algebra
Abstract
Gell-Mann, Horn, and Weyers have constructed a nontrivial solution of the local current-algebra relations at infinite momentum by making use of an infinite-component wave equation first studied by Abers, Grodsky, and Norton. The present paper contains a detailed account of the properties of this wave equation and its relation to current algebra. In particular, we explicitly exhibit a complete set of solutions including timelike as well as spacelike momenta.
