On the triplet terms of the TiO molecule
Abstract
In the present paper it is shown that the anomalous triplet splittings observed in the C3Π- X3Π and A3Δ- X3Π transitions of the TiO molecule can be traced back to the anomalous triplet splittings found on the X3Π, C3Π, and A3Δ terms which can well be interpreted in good agreement with experiment by taking into account simultaneously the spin-orbit and spin-spin interaction. In addition, the exact values of the coupling constants A are given for the C3Π and A3Δ terms on the levels v = 0.
