Über die Struktur dünner auf Einkristallunterlagen aufgedampfter Alkalihalogenidschichten. (Eine Untersuchung mittels Elektroneninterferenzen.)
Abstract
In der vorliegenden Arbeit wird mittels Elektroneninterferenzen das Wachstum von dünnen auf Alkalihalogenid-Spaltflächen aufgedampften Alkalihalogenidschichten untersucht. Es wird gezeigt, daß die ersten Netzebenen der Kristallite der Aufdampfschicht unabhängig von der Gitterkonstantendifferenz zwischen Schicht und Unterlage so aufwachsen, daß die kristallographischen Achsen beider gleichgerichtet sind. Bei Verwendung der gleichen Substanz für Schicht und Unterlage (z. B. LiF auf LiF, NaCl auf NaCl, kurz A auf A) wachsen auch Kristallite in Zwillingsstellung auf, die an den im Laue-Diagramm auftretenden "zusätzlichen Punkten" erkannt werden. Mit Hilfe elektronenmikroskopischer Abdruckaufnahmen können die in Zwillingsstellung stehenden Kristallite sichtbar gemacht und somit unabhängig von den Beugungsbildern nachgewiesen werden.
Wenn bei Verwendung verschiedener Substanzen für Schicht und Unterlage (A auf B) eine einkristallin aufgewachsene Schicht so dick ist, daß sie die Unterlage vollständig bedeckt, liegen für die nachfolgenden Dampfmolekeln die gleichen Verhältnisse vor wie im Falle A auf A; übereinstimmend hiermit beobachtet man, daß bei weiter zunehmender Schichtdicke dann ebenfalls zwillingsorientierte Kristallite auftreten. Bemerkenswerterweise ist die Anlagerung zwillingsorientierter Kristallite temperaturabhängig und oberhalb einer von der jeweiligen Substanz abhängigen, gut reproduzierbaren Grenztemperatur der Unterlage nicht mehr zu beobachten.- Publication:
