Causes of Formation of Charcoal Particles Found Under Ejecta from Small Impact Craters
Abstract
Numerical modeling of the impacts of iron asteroids about 1 meter in size at 10 km/s on trees show that a shock wave in wood can produce charcoal particles that are scattered in the air and on the ground and are buried under ejecta from a crater.
