ALMA multi-wavelength study of the HD 163296 disk: measuring local variations of dust properties
Abstract
HD 163296 is a nearby bright protplanetary disk, presenting a ringed-like structure thats has been associated with the presence of forming planets. We obtained new observations of this targets at 2 and 3 mm with ALMA, that allowed us to detect both sub-structures in the dust continuum, and multiple line emissions (CS and organic compounds) at a high resolution of 6 au. We combined these new observations with a large set of ALMA and VLA datasets at different wavelengths (from 0.87 mm to 1 cm), to produce spectral index maps at high resolution. This allows to put constrains on grain properties across the small-scale structures in this disk, and investigate the mechanisms causing structures in the dust and gas distribution.
