Galaxias de bajo brillo superficial en HCG44?
Abstract
We present the photometric properties of two objects displaying low surface brightness detected in the direction of the Hickson Compact Group 44 (HCG44). Their characteristics indicate that they would be extremely low surface brightness galaxies, possibly associated with HCG44 and/or NGC3193. Their photometric properties turn out to be similar to the so-called ultra-low surface brightness galaxies. These kind of objects, previously detected in clusters of galaxies, would then be present in poor groups like HCG44. Regarding their origin, our results indicate that the identified objects could be spheroidal dwarf galaxies whose effective radii are a bit higher than the values usually measured in the Local Group.
