XMM-Newton Studies of Baryonic Mass Fraction of Galaxy Clusters
Abstract
We present a systematic analysis of 19 nearby (0.016 < z < 0.3) galaxy clusters based on the XMM-Newton archival data. Deprojected density and temperature profiles are studied in order to perform mass measurements. We trace gas properties to R_{500} for all clusters. We estimate M_{Total} in the range 0.63 - 5.13 × 10^{14} M_{⊙} and M_{gas} in the range 1.36 - 5.29 × 10^{14} M_{⊙}. Baryonic mass fraction of our sample ranging (0.118 < f_g < 0.214) is consistent with our adapted value of universal fraction of f_g = 0.169 ± 0.008 seven-year of WMAP.
