Effect of conditioning on field electron emission of suspension plasma sprayed TiO 2 coatings
Abstract
Suspension plasma sprayed TiO 2 coatings are investigated in this paper. Microstructural features of the coating were observed with the use of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). Coatings were found to contain rutile, anatase and Magneli phases. The field emission characteristics of the obtained deposits were measured. The influence of conditioning on emission properties was observed. The maximum emission currents after conditioning were 230 μ A for SPS A and 400 μ A for the SPS B samples.
