Spectral investigations of the symbiotic star CH Cygni
Abstract
Our results of spectral investigations of the symbiotic star CH Cyg from 1998 to 2001 are presented. On the basis of the spectrograms obtained at the beginning of the observational season in 1998, it is established that some active processes take place in the star system under consideration. Our measurements of radial velocities from absorption lines confirm the existence of two periods (P1 = 5650d and P2 = 756d) which show a triplet structure of the system CH Cygni. Some orbital elements of the system are calculated. The radial velocities and other parameters of emission lines Hα show the presence of about 1350-day variations which were also obtained by Mikolajewski and others from photometric investigations.
