The possibility of active experiments with artificial monochromatic infrasound waves on ionospheric altitude
Abstract
In framework of preparation for active experiments we examine a problem of ionospheric plasma modification by infrasound waves produced by powerful ground-based monochromatic source. In theoretical models and numerical calculations we take into account a realistic altitude temperature dependence as well as a wind influence. A modulation of electron density for altitude region nearby 100 km was determine under the assumption, that plasma is a small passive admixture. To diagnostics of expected ionospheric effects we intend to use data from ionozond and data from Demeter satellite, which representative measurements of probing electromagnetic signal scatted by artificial ionospheric inhomogeneities. Obtained and expected results are important for analysis of possible acoustic-gravity waves contribution to formation of an electromagnetic earthquake harbinger.
