Sea-to air fluxes in the global ocean model LSG-HAMOCC4
Abstract
Fluxes of carbon dioxide and oxygen with their isotopic compositions between ocean and atmosphere are simulated with a physico - biogeochemical circulation model of the ocean. the biological part is based on the assumption of rigorous stoichiometric constancy of all elements in organic material. The relationship between P and N in seawater is violated by denitrification in oligoxic regions. Trichodesmia are considered to keep the longterm balance. Preliminary results are given for fluxes of DMS and ammonia, too.
