Reducing Methods For Atmospheric Chemistry
Abstract
Reducing chemical mechanisms is a key issue for atmospheric chemistry and 3D mod- eling. We will present in our talk some techniques applied to gas-phase and multiphase mechanisms: - the use of dynamical reduction with the automatic computation of the so-called Intrinsic Low Dimensional Model (ILDM), - the use of Proper Orthogonal Decomposition (POD), - the use of HDMR (High Dimensional Model Representation)
Advantages and limitations of these techniques will be discussed.- Publication:
