Sr1-xCaxBi2Ta2O9 Piezoelectric Ceramics with High Mechanical Quality Factor
Abstract
The dielectric, ferroelectric and piezoelectric characteristics of Sr1-xCaxBi2Ta2O9 (x=0--1) ceramics were examined. The samples were prepared by a conventional ceramic technique at 1260°C to 1340°C for 2 h. The Curie temperature of samples gradually rose from 324°C to 896°C when x was increased. The coercive field Ec of the sample with x=0.75 was approximately 16 MV/m, and the value of Ec was about 3 times that of x=0. In the x=0.75, the maximum value of the mechanical quality factor Qm was obtained, approximately 11000.
