Nodal quasi-particles and coexisting orders in striped superconductors,II
Abstract
We have studied the properties of a coupled array of alternating inequivalent one-dimensional chains. This model provides a rough charicature of a striped high-temperature superconductor, allowing in particular for the coexistence of nodal quasiparticles and stripes. We will describe how nodal quasiparticles arise in this model, and show that their existence is in fact not a robust feature of a d-wave like order parameter. We will also show that, as a function of the couplings, there is a phase transition in the superconducting state associated with the gapping out of the quasiparticle spectrum.
