Magnetic interactions in hematite small particles obtained by ball milling
Abstract
Pure hematite particles of an average size of 14 nm were obtained after ball milling α-Fe 2O 3 in a vertical vibrating mixer mill for 10 h. Mössbauer and magnetization measurements indicate the existence of strong interparticle interactions that can be varied by the dispersion of the particles in different ways.
