The spectral and temporal characteristics of the seismic process on the moon
Abstract
The Apollo mission data on lunar seismicity are reexamined from the standpoint of the ecological monitoring of natural and natural-anthropogenic processes. The total annual quake energy on the moon is less than that on the earth by a factor of billions. The specific characteristics of seismic activity on the moon are governed by the tidal phenomena. It is also noted that the seismic process on the moon varies in time and space.
