Second order radiative contributions at fluorescence lines
Abstract
The second order radiative effects were analyzed and evaluated from the point of view of their role in the precise PIXE analysis. The systematic errors of a few percent can be introduced in the measured concentrations if their influence is not treated properly. Among them the radiative Auger emission and the X-ray satellite production are more important as they mainly influence the tabulated X-ray emission rates.
