Photon-phonon laser generation in indirect-gap semiconductors
Abstract
The study shows the possibility of phonon laser generation, as well as simultaneous photon and phonon laser generation in indirect-gap semiconductors. Rate equations are used to investigate the dynamics of various photon-phonon generation modes. Stationary solutions of the rate equations are studied, and the regions of their stability are determined. Approximate analytical expressions are obtained for the stationary branches.
