Generation of coherent electromagnetic radiation by superconducting layered structures
Abstract
It is proposed that coherent radiation generators, tunable in a broad frequency range and having energy characteristics close to those of semiconductor lasers, can be created on the basis of layered superconductor structures. A model of a layered structure of high-temperature superconductor single-crystal type is examined, assuming that the layers are coupled via Josephson tunneling of electrons.
