A highly efficient fluid O2(1Delta) oscillator
Abstract
The kinetics of a oxygen fluid oscillator (SOFO) is studied. The rate of Cl2 absorption by the solution surface is derived, and the reaction rate constant for the O2(1Delta) formation is approximately equal to 4 x 10 exp 8 liters/mol s is estimated. SOFO output characteristics are investigated as functions of SOFO initial parmeters, and relationships are derived for achieving a high yield of O2(1Delta) and a low Cl2 content.
