Examinations of the practicability of the geochemical Tl-205 solar neutrino
Abstract
It is shown that the practicability of the Tl-205 solar neutrino experiment depends in Tl-205 neutrino capture rate, and on the underground in which it is set as a detector for thallium deposit. The neutrino capture rate for the first excited state of Pb-205 was calculated to 214 Standard Neutrino Units (SNUs). The contributions of higher excited states to Tl-205 neutrino capture rates was determined. The total neutrino capture rate, in the framework of the standard sum model, amounts to 260 SNU. The influence of neutrino oscillations in matter and in vacuum on the neutrino capture rate of the Tl-205 experiment is discussed in connection with the transfers to high excited states of Pb-205.
