Stationary operating regimes of an ensemble of oscillators connected through a phase-locked loop
Abstract
The paper presents an analysis of the stationary regimes of an ensemble of several oscillators of the same type, connected via a symmetric phase-locked loop system. Conditions for the local stability of the phase detectors are analyzed for the case of PI filters. Conditions for the selection of a single-mode regime for the ensemble of oscillators are found, and questions of frequency stability are examined. It is shown that a single-mode cophase regime can be realized by the proper selection of phase advance in the coupling channels between the oscillators; when this advance is optimal, the system sychronization band is at a maximum and the instability of the frequency and the phase relationships is at a minimum.
