The parametric conversion of Nd laser third-harmonic radiation in KDP crystals under the injection of a low-power signal
Abstract
The efficiency of the vector parametric conversion of Nd-laser third-harmonic radiation in KDP crystals under the injection of a low-power signal at a wavelength of 1.054 microns into difference-frequency radiation at a wavelength of 0.527 micron is studied. The maximum conversion efficiency with respect to the radiation at a wavelength of 0.351 microns was close to the calculated one and amounted to 36 percent. The experiment revealed that 70 percent of the subharmonic radiation energy is confined within the solid apex angle of 0.0001 rad.
