Kinetics of slow electrons in an excimer laser pumped by an electron beam
Abstract
The slow electron distribution function in a beam plasma in gas mixtures used in excimer lasers is investigated analytically. It is shown that the shape of a distributed source of slow electrons has only a slight effect on mean electron energy and lasing characteristics, while the presence of photoionization and photodetachment is shown to lead, under certain conditions, to a decrease in mean electron energy.
